Tsipouro, traditionally in Greece was the winemaker’s drink. Something like grappa. The drink he made from the grapes that resulted from the production of wine for himself and his family. Over the years it became, like ouzo, the drink of the company.
Today tsipouro is a top quality spirit produced by family distilleries with history. It is an ideal accompaniment to appetizers and seafood while it “binds” impressively in cocktails as well.
